As the initiator of the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road", Indonesia and China have become closer in economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges in recent years. The Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway is the "best business card" for cooperation between the two countries, and projects such as the "Regional Economic Corridor" and "Twin Parks for Two Countries" will also become new flagship projects of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative. Last year, the total trade volume between the two countries reached US$139.4 billion, and China has been Indonesia's largest trading partner for 11 consecutive years. In the first half of this year, mainland China and Hong Kong invested US$3.9 billion and US$3.8 billion in Indonesia respectively, ranking Indonesia's second and third largest sources of foreign investment.
With the full entry into force of the world's largest free trade zone agreement, RCEP, by investing and building factories in Indonesia, Chinese companies can not only take advantage of Indonesia's superior demographic dividend and rich natural resources, cover Indonesia's huge consumer market of 280 million people, but also further open up The entire ASEAN market is connected and integrated with the global market.
