(Jakarta News) The China (Chongqing)-Indonesia New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor Cooperation and Exchange Conference was grandly held on September 20 at the InterContinental Hotel in Jakarta. This exchange meeting is hosted by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government and hosted by the Port and Logistics Office of the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and the Indonesia-China Business Council. Zheng Xiangdong, Vice Mayor of the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, Dave Akbarsa Figano, Chairman of the Party Outreach of the Indonesian Professional Group, Member of Parliament, and Member of the First Committee of the National Assembly, Li Hongwei, Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, Indonesian State-owned Capital Yadi Jaya Ruchandi, President and Director of the operating company Danarexa, Zhang Jinxiong, Chairman of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, and Xu Zaishan, Executive Vice Chairman of the Indonesia-China Business Council, attended and delivered speeches.
 
More than 200 representatives from the industrial and commercial circles, business associations, and media figures from Chongqing, Indonesia, and those along the corridor gathered at the exchange meeting to discuss cooperation plans and future development around the theme of "Jointly Building a New Land-Sea Corridor and Creating New Opportunities for Development."
 
In his speech, Zheng Xiangdong extended sincere greetings to the guests present and expressed his heartfelt thanks to people from all walks of life who care about the development of the New Land-Sea Corridor. He introduced the basic situation of Chongqing and the construction results of the New Land-Sea Corridor. He pointed out that Chongqing is the first city in China to launch China-Europe freight trains and the New West Land-Sea Corridor, and it plays a unique and important role in China's regional development and opening-up pattern.
 
Indonesia is the first country to advocate the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" and an important node in the construction of the New Land-Sea Corridor. The two sides have achieved fruitful results in cooperation in the fields of transnational logistics, automobile manufacturing, electronic information, medical equipment and new materials. In the future, Chongqing will further play its role as a channel logistics and operation organization center, focus on jointly building a new international land-sea trade channel, and adhere to the concepts of "openness and inclusiveness, innovative practice, collaborative linkage, and joint construction and sharing" to accelerate the construction of Chongqing-Indonesia interconnection Interconnect networks, promote bilateral trade, tap the potential for industrial cooperation, and build the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor into a road of openness, cooperation, and prosperity that benefits the countries along the route.
 
Dave Akbarsa Figano said that Indonesia and China enjoy profound traditional friendship and close and in-depth cooperation. The rapid development of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor has provided Indonesia with new logistics methods and huge market opportunities for foreign trade in western China. The scale of Indonesian aquatic products and agricultural products trade with China has increased significantly. Indonesia is willing to use this exchange meeting as a new starting point to quickly and comprehensively integrate into the construction of new international land and sea trade channels, continuously strengthen the docking of policies and industries, cooperate to build a cross-border logistics service network, jointly improve the level of customs clearance facilitation, and promote bilateral economic and trade , industrial and cultural cooperation move to a new level and achieve regional and international integrated development.
 
Zhang Jinxiong, General Chairman of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, pointed out that under the "Belt and Road" initiative and with the policy advantages of RCEP, Chinese companies can not only take advantage of Indonesia's abundant demographic dividend and rich natural resources, but also cover Indonesia by investing and building factories in Indonesia. The huge consumer market will also connect and integrate the entire ASEAN with the global market.
 
The New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, with Chongqing as its operation center, connects western China and ASEAN countries, promotes trade along the route, and strengthens bilateral investment and cooperation. It has now become an important link for cooperation between China and countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative. !In the future, we look forward to continuing to strengthen cooperation between our two countries in infrastructure construction, trade exchanges, and cultural exchanges through the New Land-Sea Corridor, further consolidating the friendly relations between India and China, and bringing tangible benefits to the people of both countries.

During the exchange meeting, Chongqing held a centralized signing ceremony with relevant Indonesian companies. A total of 14 projects were signed, with a total investment amount of more than 4.1 billion yuan, involving cooperation fields such as automobile procurement, logistics cooperation, battery modules, steel smelting, legal cooperation, and green energy. The exchange meeting also held a licensing ceremony for the Indonesian Sichuan-Chongqing Chamber of Commerce.
