(Jakarta) Wang Yongchao, Director of the Department of Industry and Information of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Li Yu-, Director of the Metallurgical Department, Chen Hongyu, Director of the Open Cooperation and Industrial Park Department, Qin Ming, Deputy Director of the Electronic Information Department, Tian Xinming, Deputy Director of the Office, and other 13 entrepreneurs visited Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association at 11 am on November 15, 2024 (Friday) and were warmly welcomed by Vice Presidents Chen Xin and Jiang Miaocheng, Secretary-General Zhou Weiliang, Vice Chairman Yang Qingshun, Xu Qunhao, Director of the Youth Department Yao Hanbin, etc.

As we all know, Indonesia is the largest economy in ASEAN. Indonesia's population, economic output, and territorial area account for 40% of the entire ASEAN. Its resource endowment is also second to none in ASEAN. It has the largest nickel reserves in the world and is the world's largest coal exporter. Its metal minerals such as gold, silver, copper, aluminum, and tin are all among the best in the world. In the first half of this year, Indonesia's economic growth rate reached 5.08%, making it one of the most important and dynamic markets in Southeast Asia.
Indonesia and China have always maintained very close economic and trade cooperation. Guangxi, as a window for China-ASEAN communication and cooperation, has important geographical advantages and radiation capabilities. With the implementation of RCEP, the cooperation between our two countries is becoming increasingly close. At the same time, we have also seen that many Chinese companies and investments are pouring into Indonesia in large quantities and rapidly. Today, Director Wang personally led the delegation and brought so many entrepreneur friends. We are also very happy. We sincerely hope that everyone can stay in Indonesia for a few more days to deeply investigate Indonesia's investment, business environment and market potential, find their favorite partners in Indonesia, and expand business opportunities.
Chen Xin said that Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association has maintained good interaction and close cooperation for many years. In the future, we will continue to play a good role as a bridge for communication between the two sides and provide necessary legal and regulatory consultation and support for everyone's cooperation. I also hope that everyone can visit Indonesia frequently. Director Wang Yongchao pointed out that in 2023, Guangxi's total industrial output value will exceed 2.3 trillion yuan, and the industrial added value will be 691.8 billion yuan. Since the beginning of this year, industrial operation has maintained a positive trend. From January to May, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 7.5% year-on-year. We have ten 100 billion yuan (RMB) industries such as metallurgy, food, nonferrous metals, petrochemicals, automobiles, and machinery. The output of some products ranks among the top in China, such as: new energy vehicle output ranks fifth in China, loaders 1st, internal combustion engines 2nd, finished sugar 1st, stainless steel 2nd, electrolytic copper 3rd, and artificial boards 1st.
Wang Yongchao said that first, he hopes to establish an industrial cooperation and communication mechanism. In recent years, Indonesia has developed rapidly in industries such as textiles, electronics, wood processing, steel, machinery, automobiles, and pulp, which are precisely Guangxi's 100 billion yuan industries. From the perspective of complementary supporting industries, there will be great room for cooperation in the manufacturing industries of the two places. The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region hopes to establish friendly communication with Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association to jointly promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation between the two industries, especially the manufacturing industry. We also welcome Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association to recommend and lead more enterprises to Guangxi to find new development opportunities and space.
Second, we hope to give full play to the platform advantages of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association to help more Guangxi enterprises expand their markets and invest in Indonesia. In recent years, Guangxi enterprises have accelerated their investment in Indonesia. Guangxi Automobile Group has established a passenger car parts production base in Indonesia. At the end of last year, the representative office of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Investment Group in Indonesia was unveiled. Recently, Guangxi Guixin Steel Group and Qingshan Group signed a contract to jointly build a blast furnace hot blast furnace EP project in Qingshan Industrial Park, Indonesia. In the future, more Guangxi enterprises will expand their markets in Indonesia, and we hope that Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association will continue to provide support and help.
