In recent years, the Indonesian government has put forward the development requirements of "Industry 4.0" to integrate advanced technology into the production process, cultivate high-quality industrial talents, and promote the sustainable growth of the manufacturing industry. It also insists on developing "important mineral downstream industries" to effectively increase the added value of Indonesian raw materials and promote the rapid development of mineral processing and refining, battery industry, electric vehicle manufacturing and other industries.
At the same time, the government continues to optimize service measures for attracting investment and has introduced a series of policies and regulations to encourage and stimulate economic development. The "Comprehensive Employment Law" introduced in 2020 has opened up a wider range of investment fields to foreign investment, allowing more outstanding companies with advanced technology and management experience to join Indonesia's economic construction.
Xue Tianzeng said that Indonesia has always attached great importance to exchanges and cooperation with China, and the two countries have achieved fruitful results in jointly building the "Belt and Road". China has been Indonesia's largest trading partner for 11 consecutive years, and has been among the top three sources of foreign investment in Indonesia for 8 consecutive years! In the first half of this year, the bilateral trade volume between the two countries reached US$68.4 billion, with mainland China continuing to rank as Indonesia's second largest source of foreign investment with US$3.9 billion.
The Yangtze River Delta is one of the regions with the most active economy, the highest degree of openness, and the strongest innovation capabilities in China. Hai'an City is based in Jiangsu, close to Shanghai, and faces the Yangtze River Delta. It has a superior geographical location and is an important transportation hub city in the Yangtze River Delta.
Xue Tianzeng pointed out that today, we are very happy to have Mayor Tan personally lead a delegation to visit us. Tan Zhen said, I would like to take this opportunity to briefly introduce Hai'an to you. Hai'an is an industrial city moving toward modernization, ranking 16th among the top 100 industrial counties (cities) in China. Create five major industrial clusters of high-end textiles, high-end equipment, new materials, new energy, and new generation information technology. The output of yarn-dyed fabrics ranks among the top three in China, the output of nylon yarn accounts for 1/8 of China, and the output of automobile jacks accounts for 25% of global demand. The market share of optical grade polyester base film ranks first in China. A relatively complete industrial system can provide good upstream and downstream industry supporting facilities for the project to settle.
