As an important member of Southeast Asia, Indonesia successfully hosted the "G20 Summit" last year; this year, Indonesia has served as the rotating chairman of ASEAN. These all reflect the importance of Indonesia in Southeast Asia and even global politics and economy. As a founding member of ASEAN and the only G20 country in ASEAN, Indonesia's economic and social development has made great progress in the past 20 years. Shantou, as a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in China, has very rich resources of overseas Chinese businessmen. Nearly half of the Chinese in Indonesia come from the Guangdong region, and a considerable part of their ancestral home is the Chaoshan region.
