(Jakarta) A delegation of 16 people led by Luo Ziyu, director of the International Cooperation Department of Shenzhen Smart Enterprise Service Co., Ltd. ("Shen i Enterprise" service platform), visited Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association at 2:30 pm on December 6, 2024 (Friday) and was warmly welcomed by Vice Chairman Xue Tianzeng, Secretary-General Zhou Weiliang, Supervisory Committee Member Chen Boyan, Vice Chairman Ji Guozhang, Lin Songshi, Deputy Secretary-General Chen Yongzhi, Yang Xinsheng, and Li Jie.

Indonesia is located in Southeast Asia. It is a founding member of ASEAN and the largest economy in ASEAN. Indonesia's population, territory and economic output account for 40% of the entire ASEAN. Last year, Indonesia's GDP was approximately US$1.39 trillion, making it the only country in ASEAN with a GDP of over US$1 trillion. In the first half of this year, Indonesia's GDP totaled US$680.4 billion, with a growth rate of 5.08%, continuing to lead ASEAN countries.
Xue Tianzeng said that we have seen that trade and investment between Indonesia and China have grown rapidly in the past decade. In 2023, mainland China's investment in Indonesia reached US$7.4 billion, followed by Hong Kong at US$6.5 billion, which is nearly 10 times the investment of only US$800 million in 2014! In 2023, the total bilateral trade between the two countries reached US$139.2 billion, nearly 3 times the trade volume of about US$50 billion in 2013!
Today, there are more than 1,000 Chinese companies in Indonesia, actively investing in infrastructure, industrial parks, nickel mines, new energy, and electric vehicle industry chains. These investments have not only promoted the local economic development of Indonesia, but also provided Chinese companies with a broad overseas market and development opportunities.
Shenzhen is a benchmark city for China's reform and opening up, and an important manifestation of China's continuous innovation and deepening of reform and opening up. After more than 40 years of reform and opening up, Shenzhen and the entire Guangdong region now have the most mature Chinese manufacturing industry chain, and are fully leading in technology, electronic components, small household appliances, smart devices and other fields. We very much welcome entrepreneurs from Shenzhen to visit and invest in Indonesia. We hope to find partners we like, jointly create a vast Indonesian market, and share the dividends of Indonesia's economic and social development!
