(Jakarta) A delegation led by Ye Mao, deputy district head of the People's Government of Pidu District, Chengdu, China, visited Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association on December 13 to explore a new starting point for deepening cooperation.
Deputy District Head Ye Mao and his delegation included Zhao Dong, director of the Management Committee of Sichuan Cuisine Industrial City, Pidu District, Zhu Xiaoyan, director of the Construction Center of the Rural Revitalization Expo Park, Pidu District, and Sun Huaiju, deputy director of the Agriculture, Rural Areas and Forestry Bureau of Pidu District.
Ye Mao and his delegation were warmly welcomed by Zhou Weiliang, secretary-general of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, Chen Boyan, Lin Songshi, Liu Xinhua, Yang Xinsheng and Chen Yongzhi.

Zhou Weiliang introduced that Indonesia is the world's largest archipelago country with a population of more than 280 million, making it the world's fourth most populous country. It is composed of more than 300 ethnic groups, of which the Javanese are the largest ethnic group, and the Chinese are one of the top five ethnic groups in Indonesia. Indonesia is a multi-religious country with cultural tolerance, inclusiveness, openness and diversity.
He said: Indonesia's economic characteristics are reflected in its diversified industrial structure. Its rich natural resources, unique cultural tourism resources, huge market potential and the government's positive policies over the years have provided a broad space for development for domestic and foreign investors.

Deputy District Mayor Ye Mao introduced that Chengdu Pidu District, formerly Pi County, also known as Juancheng, is a city district under the jurisdiction of Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, China. Pidu District is located in the northwest of Chengdu City, with a total area of 437.5 square kilometers and a total permanent population of about 1.39 million. He especially introduced: Pi County Douban, a specialty of Pidu District, which is said to be the "soul of Sichuan cuisine".
