A Delegation from The China-ASEAN Center visited Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association to Strengthen Cooperation
(Jakarta News) Shi Zhongjun, Secretary-General of the China-ASEAN Center, Sun Yi, Director of the Comprehensive Coordination Department, and Wang Yan, Deputy Director of the Press and Public Relations Department, visited Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association at 3 pm on November 4, 2024 (Monday), and were received by Secretary-General Zhou Weiliang , Vice Chairman Chen Xin, Vice Chairman Xue Jingyong and Lin Songshi warmly welcomed us. Through this meeting, we will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two parties in multiple fields.
 
Secretary-General Zhou Weiliang first welcomed the China-ASEAN Center delegation led by Secretary-General Shi Zhongjun to visit Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, and briefly introduced the establishment of the Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association to the current development status. He hoped that through this exchange, the two sides could further strengthen their cooperation in various aspects. exchanges and cooperation in the field, and welcomes more Chinese companies to visit, visit, and invest in Indonesia.
 
Secretary-General Shi Zhongjun said that the China-ASEAN Center is an intergovernmental international organization that aims to promote cooperation between China and ASEAN in the fields of trade, investment, tourism, education, and culture. The center is headquartered in Beijing, China, and will continue to expand in the future and set up branch centers in various ASEAN member states and other regions in China. In October 2010, Premier Wen Jiabao and leaders of ASEAN countries jointly launched the official website of the center and announced that the physical center would be built in 2011. Based on the consensus reached by the 11 member states and with the joint efforts of all parties, the China-ASEAN Center was put into trial operation on August 8, 2011, and was officially unveiled at the China-ASEAN Leaders’ Meeting in early November.
 
Secretary-General Shi Zhongjun pointed out that the responsibilities of the China-ASEAN Center are to host China-ASEAN related theme cooperation forums and promote the realization of regional common development goals such as innovation-driven development, digital economic transformation, sustainable development, green economy, and blue economy; in China Provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities hold China-ASEAN trade and investment promotion conferences, support Chinese provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in organizing exhibitions, forums, promotion meetings, seminars and other types of promotion activities to promote the China-ASEAN business environment; organize Chinese enterprises to visit ASEAN to visit local governments Departments and Chinese embassies and consulates abroad carry out trade and investment promotion activities such as business matchmaking negotiations and on-site inspections of parks to help enterprises from both sides explore cooperation opportunities; organize economic and commercial officials and enterprises from ASEAN embassies and consulates in China to visit Chinese high-tech enterprises and parks , support and participate in influential activities at home and abroad, and promote exchanges and cooperation in important industries between China and ASEAN.
 
In addition, the China-ASEAN Center also organizes and supports various educational activities to promote China-ASEAN educational cooperation and people-to-people exchanges. Including but not limited to: organizing various competency trainings for educators; promoting two-way mobility of students and scholars; promoting comprehensive cooperation between bilateral educational institutions at all levels and various types; deepening youth exchanges and think tank cooperation; strengthening language and cultural exchanges, etc.; organizing and supporting various Cultural activities, deepen cultural exchanges and mutual learning, promote cultural industry cooperation and capacity building, strengthen cultural enlightenment and information sharing, and promote the co-prosperity and symbiosis of Chinese and ASEAN cultures; carry out tourism information sharing, capacity building, tour guide training, route inspections, brand building, etc. Projects and activities promote China-ASEAN tourism exchanges and strengthen practical cooperation in areas such as source market development and destination promotion.
 
Finally, entrepreneurs from the Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association are welcome to take the time to visit Beijing, go sightseeing, and participate in various activities organized by the China-ASEAN Center in Beijing.
