(Jakarta News) General Chairman of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association Zhang Jinxiong, Secretary General Zhou Weiliang, Supervisory Committee Member Wang Zhenkun, Vice Chairman Lien Jiehao and Chen Xin, Vice Chairman Xue Jingyong, Weng Hualing, Ji Guozhang, Yang Qingshun, Honorary Chairman Huang Zhiyong, November 13, 2024 At 3 pm on Wednesday (Wednesday), we welcomed an 18-member delegation led by Hu Dongliang, President of the Zhangzhou Overseas Friendship Association, including Chen Yajun, Vice President of the Zhangzhou City Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Guo Yingfeng, President of the Dongshan County Overseas Friendship Association, and Pinghe County Overseas Friendship Association. President Lin Liling, Zhangzhou Overseas Friendship Association cadre Lin Lin and other entrepreneurs visited.
 
President Zhang Jinxiong said that Indonesia is the largest economy in ASEAN. Indonesia’s population, economic aggregate, and territorial area all account for 40% of the entire ASEAN. Its resource endowment is also second to none in ASEAN. Its nickel reserves rank first in the world. It is the world's largest coal exporter. Its gold, silver, copper, aluminum, tin and other metal minerals are among the best in the world. In the first half of this year, Indonesia's economic growth reached 5.08%, with a total GDP equivalent to approximately US$680.4 billion, making it one of the most important and dynamic markets in Southeast Asia.
 
In the past decade, trade and investment between Indonesia and China have grown rapidly. In 2023, mainland China's investment in Indonesia will reach US$7.4 billion, followed by Hong Kong with US$6.5 billion, an increase of nearly 10 times compared with the investment amount of only US$800 million in 2014! In 2023, the total bilateral trade between the two countries will reach 139.2 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of nearly three times compared with the trade volume of approximately 50 billion U.S. dollars in 2013!
 
Zhang Jinxiong pointed out that Zhangzhou is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese and an important node city on the “Belt and Road” Maritime Silk Road. It has always maintained good exchanges and cooperation with Indonesia. Today, President Hu personally led a delegation to visit. We are very happy and welcome Zhangzhou Municipal Government and entrepreneurs to visit Indonesia frequently and look for more cooperation business opportunities.
 
Zhang Jinxiong said that Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association will continue to act as a bridge for exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, provide necessary support and assistance to entrepreneurs on both sides, and make more contributions to promoting trade between our two countries and prospering the economic construction of the two countries. !

President Hu Dongliang pointed out that he led nearly 50 companies from the Zhangzhou Overseas Friendship Association to visit Indonesia this time, mainly to participate in the food exhibition held in Jakarta. He also briefly introduced the latest development of Zhangzhou in the fields of food, technology, agriculture and other fields, and also encouraged more Zhangzhou enterprises to develop overseas and open up larger overseas markets.
 
 
Hu Dongliang said that there are currently more than 400,000 Zhangzhou folks overseas, mainly in Malaysia, Indonesia and other countries, making positive contributions to the construction and development of Zhangzhou's hometown. It is hoped that through this exchange and communication with entrepreneurs from the Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, cooperation in food, agriculture and other fields among ASEAN countries, including Indonesia, will be further strengthened. After the exchange meeting, representatives from both sides exchanged souvenirs and took photos.
