(Jakarta News) Li Wei, Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business Economics Professor, Vice Dean of Asia and Oceania Market, Director of the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business Case Study Center, and Director of the Big Data Economic Research Center of the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, is a member of the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business ASEAN Project Team Delegation. Li Zhi, Director of the ASEAN Project of the College, and Sun Xiaojing, Curriculum Design Director of the ASEAN Project of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, visited Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association at 4:30 pm on October 15, 2024 (Tuesday), and were welcomed by General Chairman Zhang Jinxiong, Secretary-General Zhou Weiliang, and Vice President Lian Jiehao, Chen Xin, Honorary Chairman Zhang Jinquan, Vice Chairman Xue Jingyong gave a warm welcome.
 
Chairman Zhang Jinxiong said that first of all, on behalf of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, I would like to extend a warm welcome and sincere greetings to everyone.
 
Zhang Jinxiong pointed out that Indonesia and China have been friendly neighbors across the sea since ancient times. As the first place to initiate the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road", Indonesia and China have increasingly cooperated in economic, trade, investment, cultural exchanges and other aspects in recent years. China has been Indonesia's largest cooperative partner for 11 consecutive years. Last year, the bilateral trade volume between the two countries reached 139.4 billion U.S. dollars, and China's direct investment in Indonesia reached 7.4 billion U.S. dollars, making it Indonesia's second largest source of investment. Today, there are more than a thousand Chinese-funded companies in Indonesia, playing an important role in infrastructure construction, industrial parks, nickel mines and other mineral downstream industries. We are also very happy to see that more and more Chinese-funded enterprises are choosing Indonesia as their first overseas destination. This not only injects new vitality into Indonesia's economic development, but also provides Chinese enterprises with a vast market and important opportunities.
 
Zhang Jinxiong said that we very much welcome the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business to lead Chinese entrepreneurs to go deep into Indonesia to understand Indonesia’s customs and investment opportunities. Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association will also continue to act as a bridge of communication and cooperation between the two parties to facilitate everyone’s investment and landing in Indonesia. Provide necessary consultation and assistance, and contribute to promoting economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges between India and China! Professor Li Wei said that the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business was established on November 21, 2002. It is a non-profit educational institution with independent legal personality established with donations from the Li Ka-shing Foundation. It serves the Association for International Management Education (AACSB) and the European Foundation for Management Development. (EFMD), and is certified by AACSB and EQUIS. It is an "Master of Business Administration Awarding Unit" (including EMBA and MBA) approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council.
 
The college is headquartered in Beijing and currently offers a Master of Business Administration program (MBA), an Executive Master of Business Administration program (EMBA), an Entrepreneur Scholars program and an Executive Education program (EE). Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business has an outstanding alumni network. Among the more than 22,000 Yangtze River alumni around the world, more than 50% are top leaders of companies/institutions. 77 Yangtze River Business School alumni companies have been selected into the top 500 Chinese private enterprises of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce in 2023; in CB Insights " In the Global Unicorn Enterprise List, there are 41 companies in which Yangtze River alumni serve as founders, co-founders or top leaders, accounting for 18% of the Chinese companies on the list.
 
Professor Li Wei said that this visit to Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association in Indonesia is to explain the preparations for the visit of 50 Chinese entrepreneurs leading the "ASEAN-RCEP Pilot" project to Indonesia in April 2025, which will last a week in Indonesia. Through the inspection and study, we will have a deep understanding of Indonesia’s economic environment, industrial structure and history and culture, and explore new opportunities for going overseas and investing in Indonesia.
 
Professor Li Wei pointed out that we hope to establish in-depth exchanges and cooperation with Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association through this exchange, jointly build a communication platform for outstanding entrepreneurs from China and Indonesia, deepen our understanding of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, and provide the Indonesian module with The dialogue and cooperation during the period laid the foundation for effectively promoting the exchange of information and resource docking between Chinese and Indian enterprises, and achieving mutual benefit and win-win results for the business and society of the two countries.
