China has maintained its status as Indonesia's largest trading partner for 11 consecutive years. According to China Customs data, the bilateral trade volume between Indonesia and China will reach US$139.4 billion in 2023, Indonesia's exports will reach US$74.2 billion, and Indonesia's imports from China will reach US$65.2 billion. Last year, China's investment in Indonesia reached US$7.4 billion, continuing to remain Indonesia's second largest source of foreign investment. As of the first quarter of this year, China's investment in Indonesia reached US$1.87 billion.
Chongqing is the only municipality directly under the central government in central and western China. It is the economic center and industrial and commercial town in western China. It is located at the junction of the “One Belt, One Road” and the Yangtze River Economic Belt. It enjoys China’s national-level projects such as the New Western Land-Sea Corridor and the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Strategic advantages, complete logistics systems such as China-Europe freight trains and the New Land-Sea Corridor, and obvious location advantages in economic and trade cooperation with ASEAN.
