ICEA Receives a Delegation from The Buulyeong Chinese Chamber of Commerce in South Korea
(Jakarta News) Vice Presidents of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association Lien Jiehao, Chen Xin, and Jiang Miaocheng, Deputy Secretary-Generals Chen Yongzhi, Xue Jingyong, Yang Xinsheng, and Xu Qunhao, and Honorary Chairman Huang Zhiyong welcomed the guests at the club at 11 a.m. on September 26 (Tuesday). The arrival of Chairman Fan Dali and Secretary Yu Haibo of the Bukyung Chinese Chamber of Commerce in South Korea.

Lian Jiehao, Vice Chairman of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, said, First of all, on behalf of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, I would like to extend my warm welcome and sincere greetings to President Fan Dali’s visit!

The Buulyeong Chinese Chamber of Commerce in South Korea is an outstanding association in the Korean business community. We highly appreciate your chamber of commerce’s unremitting efforts in promoting trade, investment and cultural exchanges between the two sides. In recent years, economic cooperation between India and South Korea has gradually deepened, bringing broad development opportunities to both parties. We look forward to this meeting to further strengthen the cooperation between the chambers of commerce of both parties, jointly explore new business opportunities, and promote bilateral trade and investment cooperation to achieve more fruitful results.

Indonesia is an important economy in Southeast Asia. It is a founding member of ASEAN and the only G20 country in ASEAN. It has unique natural resources and excellent maritime geographical location, a vast market and high-quality demographic dividend. We are willing to join hands with the Buulyeong Chinese Chamber of Commerce in South Korea to jointly promote enterprises from both sides to strengthen cooperation, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, and jointly create a better future.

Indonesia and South Korea are both G20 and APEC members. Not long ago, on September 18, the two countries just celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. South Korea's ambassador to Indonesia stated that Indonesia is South Korea's first foreign direct investment country and the only ASEAN country to establish a "special strategic partnership" with South Korea. In the next 50 years, South Korea will shift its focus from developing natural resources and manufacturing investment to a new vision of cooperation with Indonesia in mutually beneficial fields. This mutually beneficial cooperation will cover areas such as information technology, bio-health, climate change, and new and renewable energy development.

The leaders of the two countries decided to explore joint efforts to achieve sustainable development, commit to establishing an electric vehicle ecosystem and smart city development, as well as combat climate change and promote nuclear energy cooperation. It is encouraging that the two heads of state have decided to continue to expand trade and investment on the basis of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which came into effect at the beginning of this year. It is believed that South Korea will be the best partner to realize the "Indonesia 2045 Golden Year" vision proposed by President Joko Widodo.

Finally, I would like to thank President Fan again for coming. I hope that under your leadership, we can work together to promote the stable development of India-ROK commercial cooperation and make positive contributions to the friendly cooperation between the two countries. I wish President Fan a fruitful trip to Indonesia.

President Pham Dae-bok of the Korean General Chamber of Commerce in Bukyung, South Korea, said that in addition to communicating with each other and promoting cooperation, this visit to the Indonesian Chinese General Chamber of Commerce is mainly to promote the 2023 Korea-World, which will be held in Busan, South Korea from November 22 to 25, 2023. Chinese Business Week (KWCEB 2023), this conference is hosted by the Korean Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Changwon City, Gyeongsangnam-do, and the Korean Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Buulgyong, South Korea. Through this exchange, we sincerely invite entrepreneurs from the Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce to organize a group to participate in the event. We welcome various high-quality Indonesian products to Korea and promote them to other countries through this World Chinese Business Week.
