Linyi Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology Delegation Visits Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association to Strengthen Cooperation
(Jakarta) Wang Linyan, Director of Linyi Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Duan Guangsheng, Deputy Director of Comprehensive Bonded Zone Service Center, Chen Weichen, Director of Enterprise Development Section of Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Gao Jie, President of Linyi Small and Medium Enterprises Association, and other entrepreneurs visited Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association at 10 am on Thursday, June 5, 2025, and were welcomed by Vice Chairman Chen Xin, Secretary-General Zhou Weiliang, Honorary Chairman Liu Xinhua, Huang Zhiyong, Deputy Secretary-General Chen Yongzhi, Vice Chairman Lin Songshi and Executive Director of Youth Department Yao Hanbin.

Vice Chairman Chen Xin said that in recent years, Indonesia and China have achieved fruitful results in bilateral economic and trade cooperation. In 2024, the bilateral trade volume between the two countries reached 147.8 billion US dollars, and China has been Indonesia's largest trading partner for many consecutive years. Indonesia's exports to China are mainly resource-based products such as nickel iron, coal, and palm oil, and imports from China include machinery and equipment, electronic products and other products. The two sides have strong industrial complementarity and have achieved mutual benefit and win-win results.

Chen Xin pointed out that at present, global trade protectionism is on the rise, and tariff barriers and trade frictions are constantly intensifying. Indonesia has always adhered to the concept of open cooperation, actively maintained multilateralism, advocated regional economic integration, and committed to the construction of the ASEAN Community. We are well aware that only by diversifying market layout and strengthening international cooperation can we effectively respond to external risks and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. Indonesia's export products and markets have continued to diversify in recent years, and its ability to resist risks has continued to increase.

As a traditional pillar industry in Indonesia, the textile industry has faced many challenges in recent years, such as fluctuations in raw material prices, declining demand in the international market, and intensified trade barriers. However, relying on rich human resources, perfect industrial chain supporting facilities and a huge domestic demand market, Indonesia's textile industry still has strong competitiveness. The government is also actively promoting industrial upgrading and green transformation, encouraging enterprises to increase technological innovation and international cooperation, and improving product added value and market diversification.

Chen Xin said that Linyi City, as a famous trade logistics and textile industry base in China, has a strong industrial foundation and a vibrant market. We warmly welcome friends from Linyi City to visit Indonesia, invest and start businesses, share development opportunities, and create a better future together. Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association will continue to give full play to the platform advantages of the Chamber of Commerce and provide necessary support and assistance for everyone's cooperation. I wish you all a fruitful trip and a prosperous career!

Director Wang Linyan pointed out that he thanked Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association for its warm reception and briefly introduced the latest developments of Linyi City, Shandong Province in various industries and fields through this meeting. In order to expand the overseas market layout of Linyi City enterprises and encourage more local enterprises to develop overseas, he hopes to get help from entrepreneurs of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association and welcomes Indonesian enterprises to take time to visit Linyi, sightsee, investigate, and invest in business.
