Vice Chairman of Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association Xue Tianzeng said, good afternoon, first of all, on behalf of all members of Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce, I would like to extend the warmest welcome and most sincere greetings to all the distinguished guests who have come from afar!

As the largest economy in Southeast Asia, Indonesia has rich natural resources and a huge demographic dividend. At present, Indonesia has a population of about 280 million, making it the fourth most populous country in the world, with a high proportion of young people, abundant labor resources and huge consumer market potential. In recent years, Indonesia's economy has maintained steady growth, with a total GDP of approximately US$1.4 trillion in 2024, maintaining a stable annual growth rate of more than 5% for many years.

In terms of the digital intelligence industry, the Indonesian government attaches great importance to digital transformation and has proposed the "Indonesia Digital Roadmap 2021-2024", which aims to enhance national competitiveness by developing the digital economy and promoting technological innovation. As an important market for Southeast Asia's digital economy, Indonesia has nurtured a number of Internet unicorn companies including Goto and Grab. The scale of Indonesia's digital economy has reached US$77 billion in 2022 and is expected to exceed US$130 billion by 2025. E-commerce, financial technology, cloud computing and artificial intelligence are developing rapidly, especially large cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, which have become important hubs for digital innovation in Southeast Asia.

Xue Tianzeng said that Indonesia and China have a long history of economic and trade relations, and China has been Indonesia's largest trading partner and major source of foreign investment for many years. In the field of investment, Chinese companies have invested actively in Indonesia's infrastructure, energy, manufacturing and digital economy, injecting strong impetus into Indonesia's economic development. Especially in the field of digital economy, Chinese enterprises actively participate in Indonesia's digital transformation. For example, technology giants such as Alibaba and Tencent have extensive layouts in Indonesia's e-commerce and payment fields, which has promoted the construction of our local digital ecosystem. In addition, companies such as Huawei and ZTE have also played an important role in the construction of Indonesia's communication infrastructure, providing strong support for the development of Indonesia's 5G network.

Xue Tianzeng further pointed out that Fujian Province, as a major economic province on the southeast coast of China, is also the ancestral home of many Indonesian Chinese. We very much welcome the Fujian Province Digital Business Delegation to visit Indonesia frequently and bring Fujian Province's advanced experience in cross-border e-commerce, smart cities, industrial Internet and other fields to Indonesia to jointly explore Indonesia's vast market. Our Associatiom will, as always, play a good role as a bridge of communication between the two peoples and make new contributions to our economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges. Finally, I wish all guests a successful and fruitful trip in Indonesia.
